Is The Airport Hotel San Juan Puerto Rico Worth A Stay? (2023)
When you have a super early flight, or get in really late in the middle of the night it can be a real lifesaver to just check in to an airport hotel wherever you are.
In Puerto Rico, the international airport in the capital, San Juan Puerto Rico (SJU) is not very far from the city center of San Juan, and there are a variety of hotels in decent proximity to the airport, too.
But yes, there is an airport hotel at the San Juan International Airport right outside the exit!

The international airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is situated in the eastern part of San Juan, right next to Carolina Beach and not far from the city center at all.

On the downside, the factors that get grumpy faces are the general standard of the hotel and facilities.

Just across the street so to speak, a five-minute Uber drive away is the top-rated beachfront hotel Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde.
This hotel has luxurious rooms with balconies, steps from the beach, two swimming pools, an onsite bar, restaurants, and an ice cream parlor!
The Sirene Restaurant offers fresh seafood, you can have cocktails in the Picante Lounge.
Also, there is live music, and if you are lucky, your stay coincides with the weekly salsa lesson!
Other facilities are a fitness room, meeting facilities, laundry, and dry cleaning.
The reviews for the Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde are on average 8.2 out of 10, but the descriptions in the written reviews give testament to generally very happy guests.
The lowest online price for one night on a weekday at the Courtyard by Marriot in August 2023, was $$219.

Under any other circumstances, it seems you will be happier across the street at the Marriott, or one of the other hotels or homestays that are just a short drive away from the airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico!
